Dust rods are commonly used for small-scale cable pulling in confined areas like walls, ceilings, or underground ducts. They provide precise control for threading cables through complex pathways.

  2. Capstan Winches: A capstan winch is a mechanical device used for pulling cables over long distances. The winch features a rotating drum (the capstan) around which a pulling rope is wound. As the capstan rotates, it pulls the cable or rope with a controlled, steady force, minimizing the risk of cable damage. Capstan winches are typically powered by an engine and are useful for heavy-duty cable installations, such as pulling large power or telecom cables through underground ducts or across open spaces.

  3. Pulling Ropes: These are durable ropes designed to pull cables through conduits or ducts. They are usually made from materials like polyester or polypropylene, which offer high tensile strength and low stretch.
