Which 6mm cable pulling rope should I choose?
Polypropylene duct draw rope is the go-to for most 6mm tasks because it’s light, buoyant, and easy to handle in ducts. Choose 220m for smaller sites or 500m for longer runs. If your spec insists on a 6mm double braid polyester rope, get in touch and we’ll point you to equivalent polyester double braid lines (commonly from 8mm upwards) that meet the required break loads.
Is 6mm suitable for my winch?
It depends on the winch rating and the load. Always check your winch manufacturer’s rope diameter and minimum break load guidance. For smoother pulls and reduced torsion on the cable, use a pulling swivel and a suitable cable lubricant.
